Reclaimed Kentucky Distillery Rackhouse Heart Pine Beams

Sons of Sawdust

CALLING ALL WHISKEY LOVERS!!! πŸ₯ƒ Perfect for reclaimed wood mantels and shelves!Β

We just got in a fresh load of amazing heart pine beams from the Anderson Nelson Distillery in Louisville, KY. These are from the barrel aging barn at the distillery, otherwise known as a Rackhouse or a Rickhouse.

This incredible reclaimed wood is from trees that were cut down in the 1890’s, which were mature, 1st growth long leaf pines and probably around 500 years old when cut down. Then 130+ years as the wood that supported a massive distillery industry, and after 600 to 700 years of growing and aging and being so useful, now it can be yours, a piece of history that you can carry on for another hundred years!!! Let’s keep saving this old wood and telling it’s story!

Raise your glass, cheers to saving these old things that matter so much!! We must preserve our history in any way that we can.
